Parking lot signs are required for ADA compliance, fire code compliance, and effective traffic management. Properly installed signs at the correct height and location ensure your property meets all applicable requirements and communicates parking rules clearly to every visitor.

Signs Complete the Picture

ADA Compliance

ADA accessible parking requires upright signs in addition to ground markings. Without proper signage, your accessible spaces are not compliant regardless of how well the pavement is marked. Signs must include the accessibility symbol and penalty language.

Clear Communication

Signs are visible from a distance and in all weather conditions, even when ground markings may be obscured by rain, snow, or vehicles. They provide a permanent, elevated reference point that guides drivers before they enter a restricted zone.

Enforcement Support

Properly installed signs with the correct language give enforcement officers clear authority to ticket or tow vehicles. Without signs, enforcement of parking restrictions becomes difficult and potentially unenforceable.

Signage Installation FAQ

What types of parking lot signs do you install?
We install ADA accessible parking signs, fire lane signs, no-parking signs, speed limit signs, directional signs, reserved parking signs, and custom signage for specific property needs. Every sign is installed at the proper height and location per applicable standards.
Are ADA parking signs required in addition to ground markings?
Yes. ADA requires both ground-level markings (painted symbols and access aisles) and upright signs mounted on posts at the proper height. The sign must include the International Symbol of Accessibility and the penalty for unauthorized use. Ground markings alone do not satisfy ADA requirements.
What height should ADA parking signs be mounted?
ADA parking signs must be mounted high enough to be visible when a vehicle is parked in the space, with the bottom of the sign typically at least 60 inches above the ground. The exact requirement can vary by jurisdiction. We install all ADA signs at the proper height per applicable standards.
Do you supply the signs or do I need to purchase them?
We can supply standard parking lot signs as part of our installation service. For custom signs or specialty signage, we can work with you to source the right products. We will discuss sign options and any associated costs during your free assessment.
How long does sign installation take?
Most sign installation projects can be completed in a day or less, depending on the number of signs and the surface type. We handle post installation, sign mounting, and any necessary concrete work. We schedule installation to minimize disruption to your business operations.
Can you replace damaged or outdated signs?
Yes. We regularly replace signs that are faded, damaged, bent, or no longer compliant with current standards. Old signs that no longer meet current requirements should be updated to avoid compliance issues. We can assess your existing signage and recommend replacements during your free assessment.
